In our quest for improving the health of cats in our community and becoming a more feline-friendly veterinary practice, we have implemented two new cat-only exam rooms!

Dogs are never allowed in these rooms, so they'll never have that fearful smell.  The rooms are kept quiet and separated from the barking dogs.  We fill the rooms with pleasing feline pheromones to help your kitty relax, and toys and treats to actually make them enjoy visiting us!  We use soft-cushy towels on the exam table to reduce slippery footing and give them a hidey space to bury their head during the exam if they are nervous.

So far, we've had wonderful success with our cat rooms and have seen a noticable difference in the stress level of our feline patients.  This helps you, the owner, to feel reassured about bringing them back to see us for all the health care they need, which in turn, helps them remain healthier!  It's a win-win!

Of course, we always offer comprehensive health care to our cats and all our patients, including laboratory work, surgeries, dentals, and even our boarding suite has a special cat room away from the sounds and smells of the scary dogs!
