We now offer training classes for puppies and adults of all ages with Registered Technician and behavior enthusiast Rachel Lees!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your dog will be a well behaved citizen in the canine world!  He or she will be socialized wtih people, other animals and scary or strange objects.

There are a total of 7 classes that are one hour in length and are once a week.  We offer classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Learn the basics:  leash walking, sit, stay, come and down.  In each class, we will tach and practice a number of commands, give tips, and help you and your puppy learn!

Each week, homework will be assigned to each puppy and owner.  Owners need to work with their puppy a minimum of 20 minutes a day on their assignment.  Homework helps to better socialize and train your pet!

Please bring a bowl for each class to provide your puppy with water, as well as plastic bags to clean up after any accidents

Other topics include: noise phobias, car rides, bark prevention, preventing jumping, play biting, steps and more!

The 7th and final class will be your graduation!  We have a fun surprise for each Graduating Puppy and owner

CLASSES INCLUDE

Each class is limited to 5 pets and 5 owners.  This will benefit each pet and we will  be able to give you the attention needed for proper training.

The cost of 7 classes including workbooks, equipment bag and graduation gift is $109.00.

You will receive a small equipment bag that will have a workbook and training manual that will contain helpful puppy and training information.

Any participant in the class must have the class paid in full one week before class/sessions begin, along with enrollment forms and proff of vaccines (see requirements below)

A complete refund is available up to the first day of class.  No refunds are given after attending classes.

There are two different classes depending on age:

• Puppy Obedience - 10 weeks to 5 months old
• Beginner's Training - 5 months and older

VACCINE REQUIREMENTS

10 weeks to 5 months:

Must have started and be current on the following:

• Distemper/Parvo Vaccine series
• Bordetella series
• Fecal test required.  (If it is positive, MUST be on medications)

5 months and up:

All pets must be current on the following:

• Distemper/Parvo Vaccine (DA2PP or DHPP)
• Bordetella Vaccine (within the last 6 months)
• Rabies Vaccine
• Fecal test required.  (If it is positive, MUST be on medications)
• Heartworm test for any animal 1 year of age and up.
• Must be spayed or neutered.

OUR TRAINER - RACHEL LEES

Rachel is a registered veterinary technician (RVT) at Bartels Busack Pet Hospital Resort and Spa.  She graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 2009 with an associates degree in Veterinary Technology.

Rachel has been to numerous conferences on animal behavior and has over 40 hours of continuing educationg in Puppy and Animal Behavior.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with Yogi, her Newfoundland.
